Clavaire fusiforme
L'élevage dedans les faisceaux serrés et denses, fusiformis de Clavulinopsis est largement distribué, mais plus commun dans la moitié nordique de l'Amérique du Nord. Il est distingué de regardent-alikes par son modèle de croissance groupé, sa taille (5-15 cm), et son goût amer. Soyez sûr de comparer vos spécimens au laeticolor de Clavulinopsis.

Description :

Écologie : Vraisemblablement saprobic ; s'élevant dans les faisceaux denses avec les bases fondues, ou de temps en temps en troupe ; en bois sous des bois durs ou des conifères, parfois dans l'herbe ; été et chute ; largement distribué mais plus commun en Amérique du Nord nordique.

Corps fruitier : 5-15 cm de haut ; jusqu'à 1.5 cm de large ; cylindrique et non ramifié ; souvent aplatissant ; parfois cannelé ; sec ; lumineux ou jaune pâle, ou jaune-orange ; effacement avec l'âge ; blanc à la base extrême ; habituellement avec un bout légèrement aigu.

Chair : Jaune ; mince.

Odeur et goût : Odeur non distinctive ; goût amer.

Réactions chimiques : Négatif de surface avec du KOH.

Copie de spore : Blanc.

Clavulinopsis fusiformis
Growing in tight, dense clusters, Clavulinopsis fusiformis is widely distributed, but more common in the northern half of North America. It is distinguished from look-alikes by its clustered growth pattern, its height (5-15 cm), and its bitter taste. Be sure to compare your specimens to Clavulinopsis laeticolor.

Ecology: Presumably saprobic; growing in dense clusters with fused bases, or occasionally gregariously; in woods under hardwoods or conifers, sometimes in grass; summer and fall; widely distributed but more common in northern North America.

Fruiting Body: 5-15 cm high; up to 1.5 cm wide; cylindrical and unbranched; often flattening; sometimes grooved; dry; bright or pale yellow, or orange-yellow; fading with age; white at the extreme base; usually with a somewhat pointed tip.

Flesh: Yellow; thin.

Odor and Taste: Odor not distinctive; taste bitter.

Chemical Reactions: Surface negative with KOH.
